Severed male genitals were found yesterday in a garbage bin at the busy Siam Square skytrain station, police said. A penis and testicles were collected from a refuse bin on the third level by cleaning staff of Bangkok Transit System Co.

Pol Capt Sanya Sukudom, from Pathumwan police station, said the organs were wrapped in a paper napkin, inside a clear plastic wrapper, similar to a medicin bag, and placed in a plastic bag. He said the organs had been dumped less than one before they were discovered by the skytrain staff. "They were still cold. It looks like they had been frozen," he said.

The cleaning woman who found the organs said she looked into the plastic bad and "was shocked. I ran to security staff to alert the police." Police would ask hospitals and police stations if anyone had shown up with missing genitals. The severed organs were sent to the Institute of Forensic Evidence, Pol Capt Sanya said.
