The New River in Fort Lauderdale cuts right through the business section of town. On its shore the new shares space with the old; the bucolic with the urban.
The gathering storm was followed by the arriving storm (*). Our generator kept us with power for six hours before Florida Power & Light got things fixed.
(*) Yes, those blobs in the air are really big rain drops.
My friend Dan from Shanghai and Taipei sent these photographs that he took while on a visit to a small village in southern China.
Watcharee and I are looking forward to seeing him and his wife in Shanghai later this year.
Our friends Jon and Ta have a great new makeover of their Florida home.
Dear Reader, today I have a chance to join with my husband's website. This is my first time for me to write so please forgive me if I don't do well. I have some pictures from my digital camera that I took yesterday, while I had lunch with some of my Thai friends in The Thai restaurant named Tamarind. They have Thai menu for us in Thai language which made me feel like I'm in Thailand. But believe it or not some of Thai words they are not spelled right. BTW I want to give all the correct names in the main picture: Kig, Anthony, Abigail, Yod, Pen, Luck, and myself, Watcharee.
A meal without people ... well, nobody wanted to be photographed.
..... But, for the home-cooked Thai meal everyone wanted to be in the picture.
PS: Holy Fuck! How did I get on this Catho-Lesbo mailing list?
Hi, my name is Sr. Pat and I am a Sister of Bon Secours. You might remember me from a recent email I sent asking whether God might be calling you to consider religious life.
If you are still pondering this question, you might find the following links helpful to get some sense of what it's like "being a sister". If you have a moment click on:
Over the years I've learned that talking out your thoughts with someone who has walked the life-path you're considering is extremely valuable. I would be happy to be that sounding board for you if you are thinking about religious life as a sister.
We can talk by phone at 1-877-742-0277 (toll free) [Think that number connects you to a real NUN-Lesbo number?] (*) or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Think on it ... and when you are ready to take that next step either to get more first hand information or to explore the idea of religious life generally, let me know.

"Come and See," said Jesus.
(*) I just dialed that number. The girl who answered and identified herself as Sister Hot (opps, I mean Sister Pat) sounded really HOT ... not at all like a chick with a frozen convent pussy .... Anyway, she said she was busy on another line and would I like to 'hold'. "No, not really, unless she was real. (**)"
(**) Are there really any hotties for Crhist ... I mean Christ?
Global warming coming home to roost?
My son is enjoying the 'sporting life' in Brazil.
There was a international beach volleyball tournament about 400 meters from my house. My friend James and I spent the afternoon watching the women play. A beach umbrella and a cooler of beer made the sport so enjoyable. Check out the Norwegian cheering section.
Here is a blurb about the tournament. The next one on the tour will be in Phuket, Thailand on Oct. 31-Nov. 4.
