Last night Pam, Watcharee and I dined at the Plaza Athenee. This is the first time that we have eaten there since our return to Bangkok.
PS: I like this view of the three Athenee buildings. Our dining room window is at the far left.

I am ashamed. Today my 4 cylinder 2 liter car did 13.9MPG or 16.9L/100km in one round trip to/from the Millennium Hilton hotel. Agreed, most of the time was spent on Sathorn Road (both ways).
I get four newspapers a day (the Bangkok Post, The Nation, the International Herald Tribune and the Asian Wall Street Journal). * Today's editions of three of them led with the news of Michael Jackson's death. Of the three the International Herald Tribune had the most muted coverage of his passing. I wonder how the Asian Wall Street Journal would have carried it had he died on a Wednesday.
* On Saturday and Sunday the Asian Wall Street Journal is not published.
Imadinnerjacket gives a sigh of relief as the world's press looks toward L.A.

Watcharee has added a few things to our condo: mostly stuff that hangs on the walls.
Bangkok's weather is predictable. Last year at this time we were still at River Garden. Compare the sky between then and now.
